RED SOX TO CELEBRATE NEW HAMPSHIRE DAY
AT FENWAY PARK ON JUNE 6, 2009
New Hampshire residents will enjoy priority in purchasing tickets and participation in Pre-Game Ceremonies
BOSTON, MA – The Boston Red Sox today announced the celebration of New Hampshire Day at Fenway Park on June 6, 2009 when the Red Sox face the Texas Rangers. A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase by residents of New Hampshire via an online random drawing. Applicants must fill out and submit a registration form to participate in this opportunity to purchase.
Registration for the random drawing on redsox.com will begin today, May 21 at 12:00 noon ET and will close at 12:00 noon ET on Tuesday, May 26. The Red Sox will then conduct a random selection of winners from the pool of registrants. The winners will have the opportunity to purchase up to four (4) tickets at face value for the Red Sox-Mets game at 7:10 p.m. ET on May 23.
In order to be eligible for this opportunity, fans must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and a resident of New Hampshire at the time of entry. Registrations will be limited to one entry per person.
Additionally, starting today at noon, the first 100 New Hampshire residents who sign up for Red Sox Nation Citizenship at redsoxnation.com will be guaranteed the right to purchase four tickets to New Hampshire Day. As an added benefit to all Red Sox Nation citizens from New Hampshire, one lucky individual will also be randomly selected from a drawing to deliver a Ceremonial First Pitch on New Hampshire Day.
In addition to the Ceremonial First Pitch honoree, all participants of the Pre-Game Ceremonies on New Hampshire Day will be residents of the state, including the National Anthem performer and the presenters of the Honor Guard.
